Roberts Sound 200 goes all recordable for DAB & FM

The Sound 200 packs quite a punch with its twin speakers producing 8 Watts of music power each. Its plethora of useful features is not to be sniffed at, either.

Laden with CD player, iPod/iPhone dock, DAB and FM - as well as playback from and record to SD (including high-capacity SDHC) card or USB memory stick from any audio source - the piano black glossy Sound 100 is wrapped with a wood casing and includes separate bass and treble adjustment for full sound control.

Recordings are made at the press of a button, with audio files saved in MP3 format at 128k. Instant recordings can be made from the radio (either DAB or FM), via the Sound 200's line-in socket or CD; sadly there aren't any timers to schedule recordings while you're out.

Handy dual alarms wake you once, every weekday, on weekends or daily to your choice of DAB, FM, iPod/iPhone, CD or buzzer. Sleep and snooze timers, no fewer than seven display brightness levels for the backlit blue display and headphone socket allows you to place the '200 next to your bed if you wish.

An AUX in socket (for playback of a generic MP3 player through the system) and full-function remote control complete the system.

Measuring in at 360mm (W) x 122mm (H) x 259mm (D), the Sound 100 is a sturdy 2.8kg and produces 2 x 8 Watts power output.

Roberts Sound 200 music system is available now at under £300 - check the left-hand column for where to get one.
