To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Record Store Day on Saturday, 22nd April 2017, Rega are making available a limited edition turntable. The RSD deck features a glass platter, proper tonearm based on the design of the one supplied with Rega's Planar 1 turntable, together with a bespoke mat for your vinyl discs.

You could also be lucky enough to be delivered one signed by a rock band or artist: Elbow, Jarvis Cocker, Kasabian, Kate Nash, Noel Gallagher, Peter Hook, Placebo, Public Service Broadcasting, Slaves, The Pretty Things and Wilko Johnson have provided signatures on around 40 decks in total.

The deck will go on sale on record store day itself. We caught sight of one at Sound and Vision - The Bristol Show 2017, which took place in February. A 2016 version is occasionally available, and you could check online to see if any are available to buy.

Meanwhile, BBC Radio 6 Music will be heavily supporting the tenth Record Store Day in 2017, with Lauren Laverne presenting a live show from Vinyl Tap record store, Huddersfield, on Friday 21 April, from 10am to 1pm. You can find out how to tune in and listen, via this website.

The programme will include a host of exclusive Record Store Day releases, live music, interviews and a special Prince inspired all-vinyl Desert Island Disco.

Kate Tempest will reveal all about being a Record Store Day Ambassador and her role as Guest Director at this year’s Brighton Festival. Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor will host a live Desert Island Disco in honour of Prince to mark the one year anniversary of his death, and Simon Armitage will talk through his connections in the local area and his Record Store Day collaboration with Leeds indie rock group, The Wedding Present.

Lauren also welcomes local band Fold who will be performing live. Encompassing funk, jazz, soul and psyche, they’ll be bringing their fusion of music and archive recordings along for a special performance at the record shop.

Lauren says: "The 10th anniversary of Record Store Day is going to be a hugely special day; I’m so pleased to be marking the occasion in Huddersfield at one of the most iconic record stores with some of the most talented people in the industry."
