North Yorkshire Oldies plans pop and rock flashback

A brand new station launches on 1st February 2016 on DAB digital radio for North Yorkshire. North Yorkshire Oldies is currently testing online in readiness for its launch.

The station is playing familiar tracks from artists such as Genesis, The Bee Gees, Edwin Starr, T. Rex, David Bowie, Sandie Shaw, Buddy Holly, The Beatles and The Carpenters, to name a few. The team behind North Yorkshire Oldies also broadcasts Minster FM, Stray FM and Yorkshire Coast Radio.

The North Yorkshire DAB bundle can be found on block/channel 10C, which also broadcasts Stray Extra and Minster FM. You can do a retune of your DAB radio if you want to see if you can pick up the multplex, or view a coverage map [indoor] / coverage map [outdoor] for the services.

The service joins community station Vale Radio on the multiplex, which launched in December 2015.

To receive DAB digital radio services, you need a type of radio designed to pick up digital broadcasts over the airwaves through its built-in aerial. We've links to good models on our pages, or scroll down the page for some quick links to both DAB and wi-fi receivers.
