It's Amazing you can hear unsigned bands on DAB

New digital-only station Amazing Radio has launched this morning on the national commercial digital radio multiplex.

The station, which selects tracks from the amazingtunes website, plays solely new music from unsigned bands across a wide ranges of genres including acoustic, country, dance, indie, metal, pop and rock.

Artists whose tracks are purchased via the website receive seventy percent of the sale value.

The station replaces the popular Birdsong channel, which broadcast bird chatter and song around the clock. Birdsong can still be found online at its dedicated website. It is thought Birdsong attracted more than half a million listeners and it is hoped regular listeners will re-tune to Amazing Radio to sample its sound.

To receive DAB digital radio stations in the UK, you need a DAB digital radio - a type of radio that can receive digital radio broadcasts. For more information, read our guide to DAB digital radio and discover more about radios available to buy.
