Roberts goes retro with new RD10 DAB radio with FM

Roberts Radio is planning to launch a new retro-looking fifites-styled radio that can receive DAB digital radio stations. The Roberts RD10 will also pick up analogue stations with its FM RDS receiver.

The new Roberts RD10 has a large, orange backlit 16x2 character matrix LCD screen on which station and scrolling text information can be viewed. The RD10 will feature rotary tuning and volume controls, RDS station name display, a stereo line out socket, headphone socket and will be portable thanks to it carry handle - letting you take it out into the garden.

Using four "D"-size batteries or mains power, the Roberts RD10 will also have an automatic tuning facility. Weighing in at 1.49kg and measuring 250mm (w) x 155mm (h) x 100mm (d), the Roberts RD10 is likely to be available at the end of summer 2004, but this date is subject to further confirmation.
