Tindle-backed North Norfolk Radio bag new FM licence

103.4 The Beach operator Tindle Radio has succeeded in the award of a new local FM licence for Wells-next-the-Sea, Sheringham, Fakenham and Cromer.

North Norfolk Radio plans to offer a local, community-based radio service which aims to provide news, weather, travel and an events billboard in North Norfolk. Chart music and classic hits are also promised.

It is likely the station will launch in October 2003.

The station beat Absolute Radio, Central Norfolk Radio and Norwich City Football Club-backed GO-FM to win the licence.
