BBC leads the way in World Cup cricket coverage

The BBC's longwave frequency will be taken over in just a few days' time, bringing full coverage of important first-round matches in the ICC Cricket World Cup, being held in South Africa throughout February.

Radio 4's longwave frequency - 198 LW - will be used to provide commentary and coverage of matches. Test Match Special will be at major fixtures in the first round, including all of England's games, and every match in the later stages.

BBC Radio Five Live Sports Extra - available nationally on DAB digital radio and Freeview digital TV - will provide ball-by-ball commentary on three of the first-round games.

Meanwhile, BBC Asian Network is set to keep listeners up-to-date with the four Asian sides taking part.

Regular sport updates will be provided on BBC Radio Five Live.

A full list of match broadcast times and audio links can be found on our live audio page.
