Roberts iDream2 lets you "turn off time"

Roberts' bedside clock radio is an iPod-docking, orange-display enabled DAB and FM wonder, with an option to turn off the time display completely while you sleep.

With its built-in iPod/iPhone dock, DAB digital radio and FM radio tuners and twin 63mm diameter speakers (giving 2 x 2.5 Watts RMS output), the unit offers you a fair few types of wake-up call.

iDream2 features no fewer than four display backlight brightness settings: high, medium and low and an invisible night-time setting: simply hit any button in standby mode and the display glows into life to tell you the time. Clearly, Roberts has gone all-out to cater for listeners' varying needs.

There are dual alarms, which can be set to any combination of daily, weekday-only and weekend slumber modes - including a "one time only" setting for a special occasion. You can choose to be woken by your favourite DAB station, FM radio, Apple device or buzzer. There's a 3.5mm audio input socket, too.

With adjustable sleep (up to 90 minutes) and snooze timers (up to 20 minutes in 5 minute intervals), the iDream2 should suit all needs.

Around the back of the unit you'll find a headphone socket, 3.5mm audio in jack, DC input socket (the iDream2 uses an adaptor, which plugs into the mains) and a captive wire aerial.

The iDream2 measures 165mm wide by 70mm high by 140mm deep and weighs 510 grams.

The docking alarm clock radio is available to buy now at under £100 - check the left-hand column for where to get one.
